What are task evaluations?

Task evaluations are a pop up menu that occurs when you try and compete a task. In the evaluations you will be asked to choose between Satisfied, Partially satisfied, or Unsatisfied, with an additional textbox for comments. What are task evaluations ENG - task evaluations

What am I evaluating?

What the evaluation isn't

The evaluation isn't meant to be your enjoyment of the task, neither is it meant to be an evaluation of the clarity of the task, or of your completion of the task.

What the evaluation is

What you're evaluating, is the conclusion of the task. What this means is best explained through example.

Example 1 - Satisfied

Imagine you're auditing one of your data processors. You send them a questionnaire through Wired Relations, and receive a completed questionnaire in return within a week.

Looking through the response you notice that all of their responses are satisfactory, and they were even able to provide you with a declaration you weren't aware they had.

This would be, overall, a satisfactory conclusion to the audit.

Example 2 - Partially Satisfied

As part of your security work you've designed a screen policy which determines that all hires must undergo screening before an employment contract is signed.

That was about a year ago, and Wired Relations recently reminded you to control whether the screening policy is being followed by hiring managers.

You find out that about 95% of all hires in the last 3 months were screened.

It's really important for your organisation that all hires undergo screening. But 95% is still a huge improvement from last year.

You mark the task as Partially satisfied, as there's need for improvement, but it's not alarming.

Example 3 - Unsatisfied

You're auditing another of your vendors vendor. This one provides you with with a declaration of their data processing, all good so far. Except the declaration is filled with problematic remarks by the auditor. Clearly this vendor isn't taking proper care of your data.

You mark the task a Unsatisfied, as you've concluded major issues with the vendor.
You should probably also look for a new vendor.

Why should I evaluate my tasks

Beyond the obvious benefit of forcing users to evaluate a task, the task evaluations are also highlighted in the task overview allowing administrators to quickly find and pick out problems arising from ongoing controls/tasks.

It's also included in the excel export of tasks, making it a breeze to report on the effectiveness of your tasks/audits/controls/security measures

How do I turn on the task evaluations?

Task evaluations are off by default. They can be activated by your Wired Relations Customer Success Manager, so reach out to them, or our support, to have it activated.

Note: Task evaluations will either be active for all tasks, or none of your tasks. It's not possible to have it active for only some tasks.
