The first three steps when getting started in Wired Relations
Where? - Menu (top left) -> Company Information
Here you should fill in the contact details of your company, your DPO, and potentially your company representative.
This information will be used when you pull out reports from Wired Relations.
Step 2 - Create your users
Where? - Menu (top left) -> Users
Wired Relations is built to support collaboration in your data protection and information security work.
It's recommended that you create your users right away, as you can, then, start assigning responsibilities and tasks.
If you're not ready to invite your users into Wired Relations then you can assign them the "no access" user role, and they won't have access, nor receive any information from the system.
Step 3 - Import systems and vendors (Connection Hub)
Where? - Menu (top left) -> Connection Hub
Most functionality in Wired Relations builds off the initial mapping of systems and vendors. Therefore it's recommended to do an initial import of all your systems and vendors.
You can import into Wired Relations from these 3 file types:
- .xlsx
- .csv
- .json
The import lets you select which column contains what information, so you don't need to worry too much about the structure of your file.
Just make sure that the top row is reserved for headers.
Note: If you have the customer module then it's possible to import a list of your customers as well.
Bonus! Step 4 - Settings
Where? - Menu (top left) -> Settings
If you're unhappy with the options in a drop-down list and want to add, rename, or remove options then settings is the place to go.
From settings, you're able to control and customize almost all of the options in Wired Relations. And this area is vital in tailoring Wired Relations to your needs.
