What does it mean to approve a processing activity in Wired Relations?

A processing activity needs to be approved in order to be included in the RoPA (Records of Processing Activities/Article 30 report).

In your organization it is up to you, if you choose to use the function for other purposes as well - you decide.

You can use the function for managerial approval, you can use the distinction approved/not approved to indicate whether or not a processing activity has been reviewed in the current year - or you can simply let a coordinator approve the processing activities in order to be able to export them to the RoPA.
